Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neuro-developmental condition that can present differently across individuals. People with ADHD can describe difficulty concentrating, feeling overwhelmed, losing track of time, feeling like their brain has too many tabs open, talking too much or feeling like that are being run by a motor. This can affect school, work, relationships, and every aspect of your life.
We also understand that ADHD presents differently in those born as girls/women compared to those born as boys/men. It is not uncommon for girls and women to be diagnosed and treated at a much later time in their life, which can have unfortunate consequences.
We want you to know that there is nothing wrong with your brain. It just functions differently than other brains and those with ADHD have some advantages in the way they think versus someone without the condition. Allow us to help you learn more about ADHD, develop coping skills, and figure out ways to navigate parts of your life where you might be struggling.
