Are you a clinician interested in learning more about walk/run therapy and how nature can play a role in your practice?
Maria created her practice in 2022 with movement and nature in mind. Maria wants other therapists and the people they work with to find joy in therapy. Getting outside and/or moving outside could greatly help the therapeutic process.
Through some trial and error, she learned how to make this kind of therapy work in her practice. Doing therapy a little differently is not wrong, but you may not know where to start! Or maybe you have started and need to run things by someone else to feel more confident. Either way, Maria is ready to meet you where you are at in the process.
Consultation Fee: $250 per hour
A consultation may include:
An assessment of your current practice and plans.
Information on liability insurance, how to make working in the outdoors safer, and anything else that scares you about this type of therapy!
Helping you think through the logistics of scheduling individuals and groups in the outdoors.
Assistance with developing intake paperwork.
Assessment tools for screening individuals and groups.
Clinical guidance on disordered eating and being a weight-neutral provider when incorporating this kind of therapy.
“Lesson plans" for outdoor groups.
Suggestions for additional training to help you feel more confident!
Ongoing clinical and business support can be provided after an initial consultation. A payment plan that fits your growing practice can be discussed.
It is important to remember that indigenous populations have been using nature and movement in their own therapeutic way for decades on their land. Many therapists now use similar ideas in their practice, but we must not claim accountability for it.
